Warlord Games: Victory at Sea: Yamato
$15.00
$24.95
Yamato ("Great Harmony") and her sister ship, Musashi, were constructed shortly before the outbreak of World War II. They were the heaviest and most powerfully armed battleships ever constructed; armed with nine 18.1' Type 94 main guns ' the largest guns ever mounted on a warship. The battleship's design was an answer to the numerically dominant US Navy ' Imperial Japan's primary threat in the Pacific. Though laid down in 1937 the battleship was not actually commissioned until late 1941, a week after fated attack on Pearl Harbour. She served as the flagship of the Combined Fleet. It was from her bridge that Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto directed the fleet at Midway in June 1942, though this proved a disastrous defeat for the Japanese. She was thereafter replaced by the Musashi as flagship and spent the larger part of 1943 and 44 moving between ports in a responsive role.October 1944 was the only occasion on which Yamato fired her main guns in anger, at the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Yamato had been tasked with repelling American forces invading the Phillipines. Though success lay within Japanese grasp, such was the ferocity of a counterattack of a light escort carrier group of the U.S. Navy's Task Force 77 that the Japanese enacted a retreat, falsely believing they faced a much larger carrier force.By early in 1945, Naval superiority in the Pacific belonged firmly to the US Navy. In an effort to delay the Allies' advance, Yamato was dispatched to Okinawa in April 1945, with no expectation to ever return. Her orders were to beach herself and fight until destroyed. This was not allowed to occur when, on 7 April 1945 when she was sunk by US carrier-based bombers and torpedo bombers, with the loss of the majority of her complement.Contains one ship in Resin and Warlord ResinModels supplied unassembled and unpainted

Warlord Games: Victory at Sea: USS...

USS Idaho, the third of three ships of the New Mexico-class of Battleship, was the fourth vessel to bear the name. She was launched in June 1917 and commissioned in March 1919. She was armed with a battery of twelve 14' guns in four turrets and was protected with heavy armour plate (13.5' thick in the main belt).
During the 20s and 30s, Idaho spent the majority of her time as part of the Pacific Fleet, conducting routine training exercises. She was modernised in the early 30s. During World War II, but before the United States' entry into hostilities, she was assigned to join the Neutrality Patrols that protected American shipping during the Battle of the Pacific. Following the attack on Pearl Harbour, she was redeployed to the Pacific Theatre, along with her sister ships.
For the remainder of the war she supported amphibious operations in the Pacific, shelling Japanese forces during the Gilbert and Marshall Islands and Philippines campaigns. She also supported the invasions of Peleliu, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Idaho was present in Tokyo Bay when Japan formally surrendered on 2 September 1945. Idaho was decommissioned the next year and dismantled in 1947.

Warlord Games: Victory at Sea: HMS...

HMS Warspite was a Queen Elizabeth-class battleship of the Royal Navy. Built during the early 1910s, she served in the First World War, including at the Battle of Jutland. Modernized in the 1930s, she went on to serve in the Second World War.Warspite was part of the Norwegian campaign of 1940 and subsequently was transferred to the Mediterranean, squaring off in fleet actions against the Italian Regia Marina. During the Battle of Crete in mid-1941 she suffered damage from enemy German aircraft and spent 6 months under repair in the US. These repairs were completed shortly after US entry into the war, and she set sail across the Pacific to join the Eastern Fleet in the Indian Ocean in early 1942.She returned home in 1943 to provide gunfire support as part of Force H in the Italian campaign. She again suffered damage, this time at the hand of radio-controlled glider bombs, during the landings at Salerno. She spent almost another year under repair as a result. Before her repairs were fully completed, she was back at sea, providing fire support the next year, supporting the Normandy landings and on Walcheren Island in 1944. These actions earned her the recognition of being the ship with the most battle honours in the history of the Royal Navy, and also accorded her the affectionate nickname, the "Grand Old Lady".At the conclusion of war, she was decommissioned, and ran aground under tow in 1947. She was broken up shortly after.Contains one ship in Resin and Warlord ResinModels supplied unassembled and unpainted

Warlord Games: Victory at Sea: Bismarck
$15.00
$24.95
Two Bismarck-class battleships were built for the Kriegsmarine. Bismarck was the first, named for the Chancellor (Otto von Bismarck). The battleship was laid down in July 1936 and launched February 1939. She and her sister ship, Tirpitz, were two of the largest battleships built by any European power, and certainly the largest built by Germany. Whilst the physical power they held was tremendous, they also wreaked psychological havoc amongst the allies. Churchill was determined that the two battleships not be let loose upon the Atlantic.
Bismarck's career, however, was woefully short, spanning just eight months under a single Captain, Ernst Lindeman. During this time, she only took part in a single offensive action that lasted just eight days in May 1941. This operation, codenamed Rheinbung, was to attempt what the Allies feared, a breakthrough to the Atlantic and raid allied shipping efforts between Britain and North America (along with the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen).
The two vessels were detected multiple times off Scandinavia, prompting Britain to initiate naval blocking maneuvers. The resultant battle, the Battle of the Denmark Strait, saw the British vessels HMS Hood and HMS Prince of Wales engage the two vessels. Hood was destroyed for her efforts and Prince of Wales suffered damage, forcing a retreat. However, Bismarck had suffered damage significant enough to put an end to her raiding mission.
Limping for occupied France for repairs, Bismarck was pursued by a Royal Navy set on retribution for the sinking of HMS Hood. She was attacked by 16 Fairey Swordfish biplane torpedo bombers deployed by HMS Ark Royal. A direct hit rendered Bismarck's steering gear inoperable. The following morning, she suffered crippling damage in a battle against two British battleships and two cruisers. She was subsequently, on 27 May 1941, scuttled by her crew and sank with many lives lost.

This product is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints not included.
A 3rdrate ship, as defined by the British rating system, was a ship of the line which mounted between 64-80 guns. Usually, this would mean two gun decks. Despite their relative size and power compared to larger 1stand 2ndrates, it was considered that 3rdrates maintained an effective, perhaps even superior balance between sailing ability, firepower and cost.
For a number of nations, 3rd rates were the most popular ship size. Cheaper to operate and easier to sail without the sacrifice of offensive capability, the only ships a 3rd rate could not single-handedly engage were larger three-decked ships. A large number of 3rd rates were built and employed on a variety of missions.

Whilst the propaganda headlines may well have gone to the big cats such as the Panther and the Tiger, the Panzer IV was the backbone of German armoured capability throughout the war.
You can choose to build your Panzer IV as one of three different variants:
The short-barrelled Ausf. F1.
The long-barrelled Ausf. G with its distinctive ball muzzle brake. Respectfully known by British forces in the desert campaign as the 'Mark 4 Special' it saw action in the Western Desert and the Russian Front primarily.
The Ausf H with its new muzzle brake and protectiveschrzen side skirts. A regular sight on late war battlefields, the Ausf H is one of the iconic Panzers of the war.
The iconic German tank of the Second World War, the Panzer IV fought from the invasion of Poland to the fall of Berlin. The Panzer IV was constantly updated, with its sound design giving it a longevity well beyond that of its contemporaries. By mid-war it was packing a deadly long-barrelled 75mm gun, giving it great hitting power and better mobility and its armour had been doubled in places greatly increasing its survivability.
By the time of massive battles in Russia in middle of the war the Pz IV was also carrying the detachable screen side armour known as schrzen. This was in response to the threat posed by Russian anti-tank rifles and, latterly, by Allied hollow charge bazooka style weapons.
This is the backbone of the Panzer regiments!
As with the other Bolt Action plastic vehicles, this kit is highly detailed yet easy to build. It provides a rugged gaming piece and will also appeal to painters and modellers.
The Panzer IV comes with a comprehensive waterslide decal sheet, allowing you to finish your new tank off perfectly!

This fantastic set provides you with a great selection of heroes for your warband, from the noble Daimyo to the sneaky Ninja Master! These models are bursting with character, and give you plenty of options to choose from when building your army. Each one of these models is covered with little touches, from scabbarded throwing knives on the ninja master to the adornments in the Geisha's hair.
One player asked whether it was permitted to field a force of seven heroes in the style of the Seven Samurai. Such masterless Samurai were known as Ronin and we thought it was worth presenting players with the option. This isn't really necessary because as with all our Erehwon warbands, players are always at liberty to choose to ignore, modify, or create whatever forces they want so long as all involved are happy to go along with that approach.
As with the inclusion of monsters from the Monster list and other variations of warbands, we therefore say that this option is available if your opponent agrees - and leave it to you to make arrangements for yourselves.
If you want to play the Ronin variant simply choose seven Shugyosha and nominate one as your Warlord. The Warlord receives no extra rules or abilities, but every Warband needs a Warlord and so our seven heroes must choose one amongst them who is their leader. You can use any points remaining to buy non-Samurai units including monsters from the list if you wish. Bandits, Ashigaru or Archers might equally well be armed villagers or peasantry - we shall not enquire too closely. You can also include an Onmyoji - who in this case might be a village wise-woman or local priest - let the story of your Seven Samurai suggest a cast to match.
In this set, you'll get nine fantastic metal miniatures (some of which you may have seen before), which are perfect for either Warlords of Erehwon or Pike & Shotte.
Heroes on the Battlefield Using the figures in this pack, you can add a Daimyo, Onmyoji Diviner, Shugyosha Samurai Hero or a Ninja Master to your warband - using extra figures to represent Hatamoto bodyguards or unit leaders. Choosing a hero to lead your army is an important consideration - do you need a bow-wielding samurai to snipe enemy characters or monsters, or a heavily armoured daimyo to lead the charge and hack into the enemy battle line.
Specialists like the Diviner or Ninja Master have a wide array of special abilities that can give you an edge over your opponent!

On a damp, overcast Sunday in June 1815, twenty years of continuous warfare the Napoleonic Wars came to a violent and bloody conclusion on a rain-soaked field in Belgium. These wars were truly a world affair, with European powers fighting battles not only on the mainland of Europe but as far as India, Egypt, the Caribbean and America.
The greatest generals of the age finally faced each other on the field of battle; The Duke of Wellington, rooted to a little-known ridge, faced, the Emperor of the French. Napoleon Bonaparte, master of the attack, opposed brigades of British, Germans, Dutch and Belgians; brigades of an infamous army that, despite horrific casualties, clung to the ridge for over nine hours to ensure that the arrival of Blucher's Prussian army would put the Duke victory beyond doubt.
The Battle of Waterloo became a true landmark in military history, one that will never fade, and nothing on such a grand scale would be seen again.
This new starter set for Black Powder contains everything needed to start your campaign for victory at Waterloo!

The Puma is, arguably, one of the best-looking armoured cars of WWII. A variant of the Sdkfz 234 it boasted a fully enclosed turret with a 5cm gun and thicker armour than other variants. Despite this additional armour the Puma was still capable of speeds greater than 50 miles per hour (that's 85km) and saw use as a scout vehicle from 1943 onwards on both Eastern and Western fronts, as even the thickened armour didn't offer much in the way of protection.
The fully enclosed turret of the Puma variant had a KwK 30 50mm gun.

The Panther was the best all-round German tank of the war and although conceived as a medium tank, at 45 tons and with frontal armour over 100mm thick, it could easily be rated more highly.
The Panther's thick, sloping front armour was copied from the Russian T-34 but the main gun was a weapon that far excelled anything the Russians possessed, the high velocity KwK 42 L70, which was capable of penetrating any Allied tank in service when it was first introduced.
This is the second version of the tank, built from mid 1943 onwards, it saw action on both Eastern and Western fronts. Bizarrely the marques did not follow alphabetical order. Changes on the original Panther include a redesigned hull machine gun and a commanders cupola.

The Churchill, undoubtedly one of the most successful and famous British tanks of the Second World War, is arriving to bolster your army very soon and here is your chance to grab 3 of the beasts early so you can represent no less than 7 variants on your battlefield and keep the enemy guessing!
The British Army adopted a doctrine centered around the use of light, fast 'Cruiser Tanks' coupled with slow, better armed and armoured 'Infantry Tanks', that would be used to smash the enemy defences with infantry support... and the Churchill was a prime example of the latter - one of the heaviest Allied tanks of the war, it featured thicker frontal armour than that even of the Tiger!
Although it suffered from being under-armed, a defect common to most British armoured vehicles of the period, it was nevertheless loved by its crews: its cross-country ability was unrivalled and it was less inclined to 'brew-up' from a direct hit than the Sherman.
It will be no surprise to you to know that it was named after the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, but you may not know that he had also been involved with the development of the tank as a weapon during the First World War.
Taking the form very reminiscent of earlier WWI tanks, the Vauxhall motors built Churchill was the basis for a slew of variants from the MkI with a 2pdr gun to the MkVII 75mm guns. Other versions would see more specialist engineering equipment added including the likes of bridging equipment and minesweeping devices - and a favoured 'close support' option of the 95mm howitzer!
In this new plastic kit from Warlord and Italari you'll get 7 turret variations (yes - we saidSEVEN!) allowing you to build the following marks:
MkIII - with 6pdr gun
MkIV - Cast turret with 6 pdr gun
MkV - Cast turret with 95m Howitzer
MkVI - Cast turret and Welded turret with 75mm gun
NA 75

Bane of the heavy German armour, the Sherman Firefly was the British invention that mounted the powerful 17 pdr anti-tank gun in a Sherman V. Our model is based on the later Sherman V and is now available in plastic to tear apart Panthers, Tigers et al at your command...
This is a variant of the American Sherman equipped with a powerful 17 pounder anti-tank gun. It soon became highly valued as the only British tank capable of defeating the Panther and Tiger tanks it faced in Normandy at standard combat ranges. In recognition of this, German tank and anti-tank gun crews were instructed to attack Fireflies first. Between 2100 and 2200 were manufactured before production wound down in 1945.
Often known as the 'Charlie' tanks in the field because of the 'c' denoting them as rearmed with the 17-pdr. There were enough of them by D-Day to issue 1 per troop, providing the British with a good answer to the threat of the German big tanks.
As with all of our plastic vehicle kits, the Firefly comes with its own sheet of waterslide decals with a variety of unit markings, tank names, and other identifying markings to give your model that additional touch of realism when it takes to the tabletop battlefield!

The most produced Cruiser tank of the European theatre! Armed with a potent 75mm gun and with good cross country performance this vehicle was more than a match for the venerable Panzer IV! Even the 6th Airborne armoured recce regt acquired about 8 Cromwells in Normandy and kept hold of them during the Winter fighting in "The Bulge".
Normally a troop would comprise 3 Cromwells and a Firefly.

Supplied under the Lend-Lease programme to Great Britain the M4A4 was renamed the Sherman V by its new owners. The Sherman V would be the mainstay of the British and Polish armoured units during the later years of the Second World War (and was also used by the Free French).
This was perhaps the most populous British tank. The only downside was a high silhouette, but the Sherman made up for this with its reliability, ruggedness and numbers. Armed with a 75mm gun and two .30 cal Machine Guns, the Sherman V could handle itself just fine.

Formed from the Western Desert Force in 1941, the British 8th Army comprised men from across the British Commonwealth - British, New Zealanders, Australians, Indians and South Africans. Following early successes against the Italians in North Africa, the 8th Army suddenly faced a new, more deadly foe - the Deutsches Afrika Korps led by their mercurial commander, Erwin Rommel. Thus began a series of operations with Allied and Axis forces being pushed back hundreds of miles only to regain that territory and more with battles at El Alamein, Tobruk and Beda Fomm becoming legendary. With the Allied victory in North Africa the fighting soon encompassed Tunisia and then the very heartland of Italy itself.
Struggling against the oppressive daytime heat, choking dust and freezing cold nights in addition to battling their German and Italian opponents the 8th Army become more popularly known as the 'Desert Rats' - a nickname adopted from the 7th Armoured Division, a key component of the Western Desert force.
This boxed set contains a multitude of parts and options allowing you to field soldiers as diverse as British, Sikh, Punjabi, Mosselman or Scottish. Just the job to tackle Rommel's Afrika Korps or Mussolini's Italians!

The M10's M7 3-inch (76.2mm) anti-tank gun was a considerable improvement over the 75mm carried by the Sherman. The M10's relatively thin 37mm of armour (and open-topped five-sided welded turret) on the other hand made it vulnerable to anti-tank weapons, so its main role became defensive, often firing from concealed positions.
The M10 was also widely used by the British, who called it the Wolverine. As such this plastic set comes complete with choice of US or British crew plus extensive decal sheets to gear up your tank hunters for action!

The M8 Greyhound was originally designed to replace the US military's portee gun in an anti-tank role, but was quickly repurposed once it was realised that its performance against German armour was lacking. It found use as a popular and successful armoured car that served American and British armies well throughout the war.
Its crew of four served a 37mm gun, a co-axial .30 cal, the more aggressive crews adding a .50 cal on the roof for anti aircraft and local defence.
It was very fast ' hence its British name of Greyhound ' capable of 55mph on good roads, but was known to bog down in mud. Its armour was enough to shrug off small arms fire, and these vehicles were best used in pairs to scout out enemy lines, supporting each other in a leap-frog fashion on the advance or covering a retreat.
Replacing the armoured turret for a fixed, open fighting compartment, the M20 scout car was used primarily as a command vehicle, sacrificing the turrets main gun in favour of extra radio capability, it also carried a portable Bazooka for extra anti-armour firepower.
