Some of the oldest human vessels still flying are the ultimate survivors, designed to guard early colonial expansion. Warships built before the first modern battleship are classed as Old Battleships — they lack the speed, point defences, and power generation of newer vessels, but remain tough and formidably armed, and many survived the Scourge invasion by being reduced to picket duty above distant outposts. This kit can be built in a variety of configurations: assemble it as two Old Battleships, or combine everything into one mighty Grand Battleship, such as the Musashi, once among the mightiest ships mankind ever built and now a relic even among Resistance fleets, or the Yi Sun-Sin, a Nelson-class hull refitted with unstable vent cannons by kill-hungry admirals unbothered by the odd catastrophic overheat.
