Whilst the propaganda headlines may well have gone to the big cats such as the Panther and the Tiger, the Panzer IV was the backbone of German armoured capability throughout the war.
You can choose to build your Panzer IV as one of three different variants:
The short-barrelled Ausf. F1.
The long-barrelled Ausf. G with its distinctive ball muzzle brake. Respectfully known by British forces in the desert campaign as the 'Mark 4 Special' it saw action in the Western Desert and the Russian Front primarily.
The Ausf H with its new muzzle brake and protectiveschrzen side skirts. A regular sight on late war battlefields, the Ausf H is one of the iconic Panzers of the war.
The iconic German tank of the Second World War, the Panzer IV fought from the invasion of Poland to the fall of Berlin. The Panzer IV was constantly updated, with its sound design giving it a longevity well beyond that of its contemporaries. By mid-war it was packing a deadly long-barrelled 75mm gun, giving it great hitting power and better mobility and its armour had been doubled in places greatly increasing its survivability.
By the time of massive battles in Russia in middle of the war the Pz IV was also carrying the detachable screen side armour known as schrzen. This was in response to the threat posed by Russian anti-tank rifles and, latterly, by Allied hollow charge bazooka style weapons.
This is the backbone of the Panzer regiments!
As with the other Bolt Action plastic vehicles, this kit is highly detailed yet easy to build. It provides a rugged gaming piece and will also appeal to painters and modellers.
The Panzer IV comes with a comprehensive waterslide decal sheet, allowing you to finish your new tank off perfectly!

The Puma is, arguably, one of the best-looking armoured cars of WWII. A variant of the Sdkfz 234 it boasted a fully enclosed turret with a 5cm gun and thicker armour than other variants. Despite this additional armour the Puma was still capable of speeds greater than 50 miles per hour (that's 85km) and saw use as a scout vehicle from 1943 onwards on both Eastern and Western fronts, as even the thickened armour didn't offer much in the way of protection.
The fully enclosed turret of the Puma variant had a KwK 30 50mm gun.

This fantastic set provides you with a great selection of heroes for your warband, from the noble Daimyo to the sneaky Ninja Master! These models are bursting with character, and give you plenty of options to choose from when building your army. Each one of these models is covered with little touches, from scabbarded throwing knives on the ninja master to the adornments in the Geisha's hair.
One player asked whether it was permitted to field a force of seven heroes in the style of the Seven Samurai. Such masterless Samurai were known as Ronin and we thought it was worth presenting players with the option. This isn't really necessary because as with all our Erehwon warbands, players are always at liberty to choose to ignore, modify, or create whatever forces they want so long as all involved are happy to go along with that approach.
As with the inclusion of monsters from the Monster list and other variations of warbands, we therefore say that this option is available if your opponent agrees - and leave it to you to make arrangements for yourselves.
If you want to play the Ronin variant simply choose seven Shugyosha and nominate one as your Warlord. The Warlord receives no extra rules or abilities, but every Warband needs a Warlord and so our seven heroes must choose one amongst them who is their leader. You can use any points remaining to buy non-Samurai units including monsters from the list if you wish. Bandits, Ashigaru or Archers might equally well be armed villagers or peasantry - we shall not enquire too closely. You can also include an Onmyoji - who in this case might be a village wise-woman or local priest - let the story of your Seven Samurai suggest a cast to match.
In this set, you'll get nine fantastic metal miniatures (some of which you may have seen before), which are perfect for either Warlords of Erehwon or Pike & Shotte.
Heroes on the Battlefield Using the figures in this pack, you can add a Daimyo, Onmyoji Diviner, Shugyosha Samurai Hero or a Ninja Master to your warband - using extra figures to represent Hatamoto bodyguards or unit leaders. Choosing a hero to lead your army is an important consideration - do you need a bow-wielding samurai to snipe enemy characters or monsters, or a heavily armoured daimyo to lead the charge and hack into the enemy battle line.
Specialists like the Diviner or Ninja Master have a wide array of special abilities that can give you an edge over your opponent!

Supplied under the Lend-Lease programme to Great Britain the M4A4 was renamed the Sherman V by its new owners. The Sherman V would be the mainstay of the British and Polish armoured units during the later years of the Second World War (and was also used by the Free French).
This was perhaps the most populous British tank. The only downside was a high silhouette, but the Sherman made up for this with its reliability, ruggedness and numbers. Armed with a 75mm gun and two .30 cal Machine Guns, the Sherman V could handle itself just fine.

Bane of the heavy German armour, the Sherman Firefly was the British invention that mounted the powerful 17 pdr anti-tank gun in a Sherman V. Our model is based on the later Sherman V and is now available in plastic to tear apart Panthers, Tigers et al at your command...
This is a variant of the American Sherman equipped with a powerful 17 pounder anti-tank gun. It soon became highly valued as the only British tank capable of defeating the Panther and Tiger tanks it faced in Normandy at standard combat ranges. In recognition of this, German tank and anti-tank gun crews were instructed to attack Fireflies first. Between 2100 and 2200 were manufactured before production wound down in 1945.
Often known as the 'Charlie' tanks in the field because of the 'c' denoting them as rearmed with the 17-pdr. There were enough of them by D-Day to issue 1 per troop, providing the British with a good answer to the threat of the German big tanks.
As with all of our plastic vehicle kits, the Firefly comes with its own sheet of waterslide decals with a variety of unit markings, tank names, and other identifying markings to give your model that additional touch of realism when it takes to the tabletop battlefield!

A detailed construction booklet.
A set of full-colour waterslide decals to allow you to put the finishing touches on your tank.
A squad of 8 infantry that double-up as tank riders!
A blast, smoke and fire marker to allow that cinematic touch.
A stat card for either tank which holds all the information you need for your Bolt Action battles.
The KV-1 Heavy Tank
The KV-1 is a huge monster of a vehicle weighing at 45 tonnes it was one of Russia's first heavy breed of tanks used within the second world war, it was famed for it's near impregnability. The German anti-tank weaponry of the time had nearly no way of penetrating its armour, only the lack of training and manoeuvrability allowing it to fall foul of superior German tactics.
Their size allowed KV-1s to literally crush anything beneath its giant treads, firing lines and encampments were abandoned on the sheer sight of it. The 76.2mm cannon still punched through any of the current German armour, so during 1941, it was nigh-unstoppable.
The KV-1 set the example of how a heavy tank could or should be, nearly indestructible and to cause terror in their enemy. Over the following years it did fall out of favour, but it was used as the base for the next generation of heavy tanks.
Follow Warlorder Rich C as he unboxes, builds, and paints the KV1/2 in quick time ready for the battlefield!
The KV-2 Self-Propelled Artillery Gun
Developed to be used in conjunction with the KV-1, the KV-2 was developed for close support against infantry, guns and bunkers. Just like the KV-1 it was very heavily armoured and boasted an even greater size with a height of 12 feet(4 meters)!
Armed with a huge 152mm howitzer they primarily became bunker busters, with an operational range of 140 km or 87 miles, you'll leave any enemy quaking in their boots wondering if they can hold out against such a barrage.
Follow Warlorder Jamie's master class on painting the KV1/2

When the German army crashed over the Russian border in 1941, Hitler was confident of a short, sharp campaign. He nearly got one, but heroic defence by the massive Soviet armies slowed the Nazi advance. It was done by the simple private soldier, "Ivan" as the Germans called him. Brave, solid, and loyal, these soldiers endured dreadful battle conditions. Their equipment was unsophisticated but functional, much like the troops themselves.
The bitter fighting in Finland had taught some hard lessons to the Red Army where thousands of their men fell victim to frostbite. The cold weather kit later issued was warm and comfortable, frequently padded or quilted, and was much envied by the German troops shivering in thin overcoats.
These tough men could lie out in the snow for hours before making their attacks. Urrah!

The T-34 tank design is arguably the most important tank of all time with over 84,000 made and innovative design features.
The T-34/76 first saw action in late 1941, and was a significant leap forward in tank design ' a rugged, no-nonsense anatomy and wide tracks enabled it to cope with the mud and snow of the Eastern Front. It married the perfect combination of thick, sloped armour and an efficient gun, along with extreme sturdiness, reliability, ease of manufacturing and maintenance.
German tanks struggled in the cold conditions of the Eastern Front ' the rubber peeling away from the road wheels, engines being slow to start and needing to be slowly warmed-up, machine guns jamming constantly, and the narrow tracks of the Panzer III and IV causing them to sink into the snow and mud. The T-34s ran circles around the struggling German hardware ' especially as the Luftwaffe was more often than not grounded due to the bad weather, so couldn't harry the Soviets.
This kit allows you the option of assembling the tank as either the 1941, 1942, or 1943 pattern T-34/76 ' each with their distinctive turrets.

The T-34 series, with its sloping armour, changed the principles of tank design during the war. The sloping, angular layout of the T-34 increased the effective armour thickness and also saw a larger proportion of shells deflected away than penetrated its armour. The introduction of the T-34 into action saw German tank design follow suit with similarly angled armour on the likes of the Panther and King Tiger. As German tank design came to the fore, the Soviet war machine once again raised the bar with the T-34/85.
The T-34/85, the very symbol of Soviet military strength in the Second World War, had a new turret to house the more powerful 85mm ZiS gun. A supremely rugged and reliable tank, the T-34/85 had excellent off-road capability, especially in the marshland or snow of the Eastern Front, and was easy for the crew to operate and maintain.
The T-34/85's great strength lay in its adaptation of the T-34/76 tank design which preceded it. This ensured a far smoother and faster production line than would have been the case with a completely new design. Another major advantage of the relatively simple design is the sheer number of tanks the Soviet tank factories could produce - by the summer of 1944 the Soviet war machine could produce more T-34/85s in a month than the Germans had Panther tanks in the whole of the Eastern Front!
With over 21,000 of the 57,000 T-34s built during WWII being T-34/85s, the Russian credo was clearly one of quantity over quality, although it was an unwise Panzer commander who discounted the ability of the T-34/85.
The T-34/85 would be used by many nations post-war. 120 were used during the invasion of South Korea in 1950. They proved highly effective in the early days of this action until newer NATO tanks arrived in theatre

Having blooded themselves during the fighting in Sicily in 1943 and then fought in arguably their most famous operations during the D-Day landings in June 1944, the US Airborne divisions were withdrawn from the front lines to rest and refit.
Re-equipped with the new green M-1943 uniform which was being used across the US military to standardise supply, the divisions which included the 101st 'Screaming Eagles' and the 82nd 'All American' would be used by Allied High command during Operation Market Garden - an ambitious plan to open a corridor through Holland by parachuting in several US, British and Polish airborne divisions to take key bridges.
Following the ill-fated Market Garden, US paratroopers would drop into Germany in 1945 as part of Operations Varsity and Plunder - the crossing of the mighty River Rhine itself.
These battle-hardened fighting men have been immortalised in film and television - A Bridge Too Far and Band of Brothers are both great sources of inspiration for these troops and the actions they fought in so heroically.

Warlord Games: Victory at Sea: Bismarck
$15.00
$24.95
Two Bismarck-class battleships were built for the Kriegsmarine. Bismarck was the first, named for the Chancellor (Otto von Bismarck). The battleship was laid down in July 1936 and launched February 1939. She and her sister ship, Tirpitz, were two of the largest battleships built by any European power, and certainly the largest built by Germany. Whilst the physical power they held was tremendous, they also wreaked psychological havoc amongst the allies. Churchill was determined that the two battleships not be let loose upon the Atlantic.
Bismarck's career, however, was woefully short, spanning just eight months under a single Captain, Ernst Lindeman. During this time, she only took part in a single offensive action that lasted just eight days in May 1941. This operation, codenamed Rheinbung, was to attempt what the Allies feared, a breakthrough to the Atlantic and raid allied shipping efforts between Britain and North America (along with the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen).
The two vessels were detected multiple times off Scandinavia, prompting Britain to initiate naval blocking maneuvers. The resultant battle, the Battle of the Denmark Strait, saw the British vessels HMS Hood and HMS Prince of Wales engage the two vessels. Hood was destroyed for her efforts and Prince of Wales suffered damage, forcing a retreat. However, Bismarck had suffered damage significant enough to put an end to her raiding mission.
Limping for occupied France for repairs, Bismarck was pursued by a Royal Navy set on retribution for the sinking of HMS Hood. She was attacked by 16 Fairey Swordfish biplane torpedo bombers deployed by HMS Ark Royal. A direct hit rendered Bismarck's steering gear inoperable. The following morning, she suffered crippling damage in a battle against two British battleships and two cruisers. She was subsequently, on 27 May 1941, scuttled by her crew and sank with many lives lost.

HMS Warspite was a Queen Elizabeth-class battleship of the Royal Navy. Built during the early 1910s, she served in the First World War, including at the Battle of Jutland. Modernized in the 1930s, she went on to serve in the Second World War.Warspite was part of the Norwegian campaign of 1940 and subsequently was transferred to the Mediterranean, squaring off in fleet actions against the Italian Regia Marina. During the Battle of Crete in mid-1941 she suffered damage from enemy German aircraft and spent 6 months under repair in the US. These repairs were completed shortly after US entry into the war, and she set sail across the Pacific to join the Eastern Fleet in the Indian Ocean in early 1942.She returned home in 1943 to provide gunfire support as part of Force H in the Italian campaign. She again suffered damage, this time at the hand of radio-controlled glider bombs, during the landings at Salerno. She spent almost another year under repair as a result. Before her repairs were fully completed, she was back at sea, providing fire support the next year, supporting the Normandy landings and on Walcheren Island in 1944. These actions earned her the recognition of being the ship with the most battle honours in the history of the Royal Navy, and also accorded her the affectionate nickname, the "Grand Old Lady".At the conclusion of war, she was decommissioned, and ran aground under tow in 1947. She was broken up shortly after.Contains one ship in Resin and Warlord ResinModels supplied unassembled and unpainted

The USS Essex was a 36-gun frigate that participated in the Quasi-War with France, the First Barbary War, and the War of 1812. She was very successful in disrupting British whaling in the Pacific, before being captured in 1814, and re-purposed as the HMS Essex under the Royal Navy.
Launched on 30 September 1799, she was armed with short ranged carronades that could not hope to match the range of 18 or 24 pounder naval guns. The US Navy accepted her nevertheless and under the captaincy of Edward Preble, holding the distinction of being the first US Naval ship to cross the Equator in early 1800.
The first Barbary War saw duties shift to the Mediterranean, with blockading and convoy escort duties at Gibraltar as well as participating in the Battle of Deme (27 April 1805).
After the declaration of the War of 1812, USS Essex achieved major success in disrupting British whaling activities in the Pacific under the command of Captain David Porter. From February 1813, over the course of a year, Porter successfully captured 12 British Whalers, and 360 prisoners, whilst sailing around Cape Horn and cruising the Pacific.
However, On 28 March 1814 at the battle of Valparaiso, Porter was forced to surrender to the frigate HMS Phoebe and the sloop-of-war HMS Cherub when Essex became too disabled to offer any resistance. of the 12 ships Porter had captured, only one returned to the United States; seven returned to British control, three were sunk, and the Chilean.
As HMS Essex, she was reclassed as a 42-gun ship, serving as a troopship in 1819, and hulked in 1823 to serve as a prison ship in Cork initially, and Kingstown from 1824 until 1834.
When used as part of a US Navy fleet in Black Seas, the special rules pay tribute to its successful run in capturing whaling vessels. When making boarding actions with the USS Essex, the benefits from a +2 modifier.

USS Idaho, the third of three ships of the New Mexico-class of Battleship, was the fourth vessel to bear the name. She was launched in June 1917 and commissioned in March 1919. She was armed with a battery of twelve 14' guns in four turrets and was protected with heavy armour plate (13.5' thick in the main belt).
During the 20s and 30s, Idaho spent the majority of her time as part of the Pacific Fleet, conducting routine training exercises. She was modernised in the early 30s. During World War II, but before the United States' entry into hostilities, she was assigned to join the Neutrality Patrols that protected American shipping during the Battle of the Pacific. Following the attack on Pearl Harbour, she was redeployed to the Pacific Theatre, along with her sister ships.
For the remainder of the war she supported amphibious operations in the Pacific, shelling Japanese forces during the Gilbert and Marshall Islands and Philippines campaigns. She also supported the invasions of Peleliu, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Idaho was present in Tokyo Bay when Japan formally surrendered on 2 September 1945. Idaho was decommissioned the next year and dismantled in 1947.

Warlord Games: Victory at Sea: Yamato

Yamato ("Great Harmony") and her sister ship, Musashi, were constructed shortly before the outbreak of World War II. They were the heaviest and most powerfully armed battleships ever constructed; armed with nine 18.1' Type 94 main guns ' the largest guns ever mounted on a warship. The battleship's design was an answer to the numerically dominant US Navy ' Imperial Japan's primary threat in the Pacific. Though laid down in 1937 the battleship was not actually commissioned until late 1941, a week after fated attack on Pearl Harbour. She served as the flagship of the Combined Fleet. It was from her bridge that Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto directed the fleet at Midway in June 1942, though this proved a disastrous defeat for the Japanese. She was thereafter replaced by the Musashi as flagship and spent the larger part of 1943 and 44 moving between ports in a responsive role.October 1944 was the only occasion on which Yamato fired her main guns in anger, at the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Yamato had been tasked with repelling American forces invading the Phillipines. Though success lay within Japanese grasp, such was the ferocity of a counterattack of a light escort carrier group of the U.S. Navy's Task Force 77 that the Japanese enacted a retreat, falsely believing they faced a much larger carrier force.By early in 1945, Naval superiority in the Pacific belonged firmly to the US Navy. In an effort to delay the Allies' advance, Yamato was dispatched to Okinawa in April 1945, with no expectation to ever return. Her orders were to beach herself and fight until destroyed. This was not allowed to occur when, on 7 April 1945 when she was sunk by US carrier-based bombers and torpedo bombers, with the loss of the majority of her complement.Contains one ship in Resin and Warlord ResinModels supplied unassembled and unpainted

Germany's armed forces in World War II were arguably the best-trained, equipped and motivated of all the major powers ' understandably so in a nation geared to rearmament and aggression to its neighbours. Within these powerful forces emerged another force, the Waffen-SS, who were formed initially as armed bodyguards to Adolf Hitler himself, but later became a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
Tough, often lavishly equipped and politically indoctrinated, SS troops formed over 38 divisions and numerous other regimental and battalion-sized units, totaling nearly a million men under arms. Their armoured units won many plaudits for their actions, and although relationships between regular army units and the Waffen-SS were sometimes strained, most SS units fought courageously, sometimes ferociously, against great odds until the wars end in Berlin, 1945.
There are many examples of SS troops fighting well and within the bounds of what we can call 'civilised war', but too many incidents of brutality occured for most people's tastes.
Warlord Games presents some of Germany's toughest troops, eager to close with their enemies and put their training and equipment to the test...
Uncompromising and well-equipped, the soldiers of the Waffen-SS struck fear into the heart of many of their Allied opponents. Clad in their trademark camouflaged uniforms and displaying a tenacity and zeal bordering on the fanatical the Waffen-SS were a dangerous opponent in both attack and defence.

On a damp, overcast Sunday in June 1815, twenty years of continuous warfare the Napoleonic Wars came to a violent and bloody conclusion on a rain-soaked field in Belgium. These wars were truly a world affair, with European powers fighting battles not only on the mainland of Europe but as far as India, Egypt, the Caribbean and America.
The greatest generals of the age finally faced each other on the field of battle; The Duke of Wellington, rooted to a little-known ridge, faced, the Emperor of the French. Napoleon Bonaparte, master of the attack, opposed brigades of British, Germans, Dutch and Belgians; brigades of an infamous army that, despite horrific casualties, clung to the ridge for over nine hours to ensure that the arrival of Blucher's Prussian army would put the Duke victory beyond doubt.
The Battle of Waterloo became a true landmark in military history, one that will never fade, and nothing on such a grand scale would be seen again.
